Why Copper as a Daily Ritual?

The Jala Collection supports this ritual through clean, unlined copper vessels, simple care, and timeless design — without adding anything unnecessary.

  1. Ayurvedic Tradition

In Ayurveda, hydration is treated as a daily practice. Copper has traditionally been used for water storage as part of mindful routines.

  2. Natural Properties

Pure copper naturally develops a beautiful patina over time, each vessel becoming uniquely yours.

  3. Morning Ritual

Fill your vessel at night, let water rest, and drink first thing in the morning — a simple daily practice.

  4. Clean & Unlined

100% pure copper with no chemical lining. We keep it natural for the purest benefits.

Read The Copper Guide
Is copper water safe to drink every day?

Yes, within the morning practice: fill overnight, drink 1–2 glasses on an empty stomach, rinse and refill. That intake sits well inside Health Canada and WHO daily guidelines.

Can I use it for hot drinks or lemon water?

No to both. Acidic liquids — lemon, citrus, kombucha, flavoured or sparkling water — accelerate copper leaching past the beneficial level and damage the interior over time. Heat does the same. Prepare lemon water separately, in glass.

How long should the water sit?

Six hours minimum; eight hours overnight is the traditional window. Twelve to sixteen is fine — the copper concentration plateaus on its own. Past 24 hours, pour it out, rinse the bottle, and start fresh.

Where is the Jala bottle made?

Handcrafted by artisans in India using traditional copper-forming techniques, each bottle shaped from a single sheet of food-grade copper — no joints, no seams, no lining. Every order ships from our Toronto studio.
